The club enjoys the splendid playing surface provided by the six rinks at Mount Noddy.
The bowling green is maintained to an excellent standard by Mid Sussex Council Sport and Leisure Department, so members do not have to carry out green maintenance that is the case with many other clubs. So our members have the luxury of leaving this time consuming task to the professionals!
The automatic watering system ensures that the grass is always green, even in the drought conditions that occur in some of our hotter summers. The quality of the green was the reason a few years ago when a Surrey versus Kent under 25 county match was held at Mount Noddy, as most of their greens had turned rather brown, and we are in Sussex!
The club uses a spacious pavilion and has free parking available to members and visiting teams from other clubs.
Bowls has been played at Mount Noddy for over ninety years, and we trust that East Grinstead Bowling Club will ensure it continues to provide bowlers a perfect venue to enjoy for many more happy summer years in the future.
